Tuition Overview 2025-26

Tuition is based on your residency and the number of credits you take. The estimate below is based on law students taking 30 credits per year and includes UM graduate tuition, the law school program fee and mandatory fees. This estimate does not include housing, meals, books and supplies or miscellaneous costs.

Montana residents pay:
$27,412 a year when taking 30 credits total a year

Out-of-state students pay:
$54,984 a year when taking 30 credits total a year
