READY TO KICK THE TIRES?

Come take us for a test drive.

You know how they say photos never capture the majesty of a mountain? Well, no matter what we write about UM – and it’s admittedly poetic – the very best way to understand what makes this place special is to visit Griz country for yourself.

And you're in luck because UM offers prospective students and their families numerous ways to get to know us.

MONDAY-FRIDAY, ALL YEAR

Daily On-Campus Visit

Our campus visits allow you to build your schedule based on your interests. A variety of options are available so you can tailor your visit for an impactful experience. Plan to spend a minimum of two hours with us, though we bet you’ll want to explore even more. Your visit will look like this:

Welcome Session: You’ll start by checking in with Admissions to receive your schedule and information for the day. Afterward, join us for an informative introduction to the University of Montana, including essential details about our campus, how to apply, costs and scholarships.

Campus Tour: Next, you’ll see our beautiful campus on a stroll with our knowledgeable and passionate student tour guides. Hear their firsthand stories and experiences, from academics to student life, clubs, sports and everything in between.

We’re pretty confident that your student tour guide will have all the answers, but if you still have questions after you return from your tour, one of our knowledgeable and friendly Admissions Counselors are always available to chat.

Housing: Every campus tour includes a stop at our showroom in the Knowles Residence Hall. Student tour guides will share the various housing choices available, providing a comprehensive understanding of the vibrant and comfortable living environments at the University of Montana.

Academic Exploration Sessions: You’ll also have the option to select additional meetings with academic interest areas, majors and other campus departments such as the Davidson Honors College, Office of Disability Equity, the Franke Global Leadership Initiative, Military and Veteran Services and more.

By sharing your interests in the registration form, you can customize your visit to explore specific programs, interact with our esteemed faculty, and gain valuable insights to guide your future studies and experiences at UM.

Mini Bus Tour: Lastly, if you’d like to learn a little bit more, sign up for our Mini-Bus Tour! This unique experience takes you on a 30-minute driving tour of additional areas of campus, the University District and downtown Missoula, in our custom Monte Mobile.
