Tuition Overview

Tuition is based on your residency and the number of credits you take. Students who intend to enroll only in online courses may opt to designate their status to "Distance". Distance-only (or online) students are charged different fee rates. Please note, online-only students are not eligible for WUE or UMAA Scholarships.

Online undergraduate at UM

Montana residents attending UM as an online student will pay:
$6,824 a year when you take 12 or more credits per semester
$5,154 a year when you take between 9 and 11 credits per semester
$4,188 a year when you take six to eight credits per semester

Out-of-state residents attending UM as an online undergraduate student will pay:
$20,072 a year when you take 12 or more credits per semester
$15,090 a year when you take between 9 and 11 credits per semester
$12,058 a year when you take six to eight credits per semester

Online at Missoula College

Montana residents attending Missoula College as an online student will pay:
$3,926 a year when you take 12 or more credits per semester
$2,974 a year when you take between 9 and 11 credits per semester
$2,020 a year when you take six to eight credits per semester
$1,068 a year when you take less than six credits per semester

Out-of-state residents attending Missoula College as an online student will pay:
$10,442 a year when you take 12 or more credits per semester
$7,860 a year when you take between 9 and 11 credits per semester
$5,278 a year when you take six to eight credits per semester
$2,696 a year when you take less than six credits per semester

Online Graduate School at UM

Montana residents attending UM as an online graduate student will pay:
$8,262 a year when you take 12 or more credits per semester
$6,226 a year when you take between 9 and 11 credits per semester
$4,188 a year when you take six to eight credits per semester

Out-of-state residents attending UM as an online graduate student will pay:
$24,000 a year when you take 12 or more credits per semester
$18,028 a year when you take between 9 and 11 credits per semester
$12,058 a year when you take six to eight credits per semester
